Individual Therapy Sessions
Individual dialectical behavior therapy combines validation and problem-solving strategies to help clients inhibit maladaptive, mood dependant behaviors and increase deliberate and more effective responses to situations. These 50 minute sessions include the individual and therapist only.
DBT Skills Training Group Sessions
Skills training groups meet one time weekly for two hours. These groups combine lecture, discussion, and weekly exercises to learn:
1. Core Mindfullness/Awareness
2. Distress Tolerance
3. Emotion Regulation
4. Interpersonal Effectiveness
5. Self-managment and Relapse Prevention
Groups available for both adults and adolescents. Family groups available periodically.
DBT Telephone Consultation
Therapists are available to clients between sessions for coaching and crisis intervention.
