ADOLESCENT DBT PROGRAM

Designed just for adolescents and their parents, this group meets as a whole and then separately for part of the time with peers. Group members learn skills based on the four modules of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT): core mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance. New skills are presented at each group and homework may be assigned for individuals to practice during the week. In this group you will learn to be less judgmental, how to improve relationships and decrease conflicts with others, how to manage your emotions, and be effective in communicating what you want from others, plus much more! For a higher level of care including more intensive therapy see our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program.

You will benefit from this group if:

You find it difficult to navigate strong emotions
• Struggle with relationships or have a fear of abandonment
• Experience anxiety and depression
• Engage in self-harming and impulsive behaviors
• Sometimes have suicidal thoughts

Group is ongoing and you can join at anytime. Curriculum repeats.

Call for current group times and locations. Insurance and private pay accepted.
